Sony Smartwatch Gen 1 and Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V

Image
The Sony Smartwatch Gen 1 that I initially bought but I saw at lazada.com.ph that they have a bundle offer--a  Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V and Sony Smartwatch Gen 1 for a lesser cost than when you buy them individually. It is now here! Finally! After five sleepless nights, my Sony Smartwatch Gen 1 and Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V has arrived! It was delivered within 5 days at the office. I was actually out when my staff informed me that I have a package waiting for me.  A wrist band as a replacement for the velcro strap that comes in the package. This is my Aunt's, mine is white.  She asked me to buy her a Smartwatch Gen 1 and wrist band, too. I actually convinced her to buy a Smartwatch because I really really would like to buy the cellphone-smartwatch bundle.  It's the cutest that ever embraced my wrist since my favorite watch. I like that  aside from telling time, it also tells me if I have a text message, Twitter and Facbook notifications and ...

Steve Jobs is dead

Steve Jobs is dead. The former CEO of Apple passed away today because of pancraetic cancer. He knew his time is short so he left the chairmanship of Apple to his long-time business partner and friend, Tim Cook, last August. The man who changed technology will be missed.

50 Questions Challenge, Day 26: What do you want to accomplish?

Image
When I was at a lost, about 7 years ago, I said to myself that if I can't go back to continuing my medicine course, I will venture into business.  I actually had two businesses a year after that but it didn't went well.  My planning was bad and so I went back to working in an office.  I did not close the possibility of having my own business, I just need the right time and conviction that it is what I really want in life.  I was engrossed to doing office works that I forgot about the thought until last year when working started to bore me.  It's like getting up each day thinking that I will do the same thing over and over again.  I actually sit for at least thirty minutes on my bedside to condition my mind and my body that I need  to go to work.  It was hard... harder than dieting.  The process went on for two months but within those months I was already looking for something to help me get back to my senses.   Fortunately, I have foun...

Furniture Retail Software Saved the Day

As an update of my friend's furniture business, well, it opened about two weeks ago.  All her family and friends were there to celebrate and congratulate her.  The whole day went perfect.  Passersby turned out to be customers the same day it opened.  It was a success.  After a week, I asked her how's everything going and she shared one story that proved my advice to have furniture retail software was the best advice she's got.  Her sales personnel had to resign because of some family emergency in the province.  My friend got a little bit concerned because orders are coming in and there's no one to help her with it.  She remembered that there's a software to help her and so she went about with everything... in a breeze.

Furniture Retail Software: An Essential

Remember my story about a friend who wants to open a furniture business?  Her business loan application was approved and she's now in the process of sourcing suppliers.  I helped her research some things about the business--it's viability and profitability, her main furniture line, the competitors and how to go about the business in general.  I told her she needs something that will help her in inventories and generating reports--a furniture retail software .  I have heard of this product when I attended a furniture expo sometime last year, I thought why not?  It is a great idea to add technology to a furniture business especially to those, like my friend, who are just starting in the business because it will make every transaction a breeze.  I asked her if she's willing to try and I can tell by the look in her eyes when I discussed its advantages that she will go for it.

Furniture Retail Software: Business Solution

I received good news from a friend that her business loan has been approved.  She planned to put up her very own furniture business two years ago.  She loves to design and interior decorate and her passion for the two made her decide to venture into business.  She asked me of the next things that she should do.  Of course, aside from sourcing suppliers and marketing her store, she has to have furniture retail software to help her in the inventory, tracking sales, processing of orders, reports and other essential business transactions. I could not wait for the opening of her store!

Moms Work In the Comforts of Home

Although this entry generally points out that being a domesticated bummer has a potential of earning while at home, jobless males and non-mothers or housewives will also benefit by reading further.   I am a mother and a career woman who takes care of the bills and how to pay those without having to seek help from anyone.  My being involved in online freelance jobs started six months ago when I was thinking of giving up my 8 to 5 job.  I know that the economic recession has made job hunting a harder task to do so I have to think of something that will help me earn money while waiting to get hired full-time.  I am not a techie but I love browsing the web for interesting topics and latest news.   My planning to resign and my being an internet junkie led me to the discovery of online freelancing.  In this time of economic downfall, moms can also help generate income by being at home.  I know that most households are struggling to make ends mee...

Self Promotion

In just four months, I have managed to create and maintain five blogs (in Blogspot alone).  My recent addition to my list of blogs is Sparkling Mode that talks about accessories and jewelries and Bag Beggar that is obviously about bags. My primary reason for creating new blogs is to try out Blogger's new templates.  I mentioned in my previous entry that I have to think about changing the look of this blog... well, I don't want to change the look.  Second reason for the creation of new blogs is that I wanted to have a dedicated blog of all the things that I like--shoes, bags and jewelries.  So guys, take peek into my blogs by clicking on the links. Freelancing On the Internet

Just to clarify, I am not a "full time" freelancer ... confusing, eh?  I have an 8 to 5 job from Monday to Friday and a month ago, I stumbled upon this website that hires online talents.  I tried registering.  I passed their "entrance examination" with a grade above average and completed my profile so that prospective employers will have an idea about what they will get themselves into if they hire me.  To make my profile irresistible to employers, I took several skills test which includes knowledge of the English language, word processing, customer service, human resources, and other skills that I thought I know.  So far, so good. What led me to freelancing is plainly an accident that I do not regret.  It is something that I love to do that allows me to earn extra while I am at the comforts of my own home.  It doesn't interfere with my daily activities and each time I get a new job, it feels like being hired for the first time.  Although I am j...

The Evolution of the iPhone

Image
Apple launched the iPhone in 2008 and everyone wants to own one. Recently, Apple produced another technology breakthrough--the iPad... and just the same, everyone wants to own one.  After producing the most coveted gadgets of the millennium, what's next for Apple?   On 2012, they are projecting the release of the iBoard with over a hundred widgets on the screen.  On 2014, behold for the coming of the iMat... the downside of this monster gadget is that you can't bring it anywhere but what's great about this is that you can share it with over thirty people. Blogging for A Newbie

I am a newbie in the blogging industry .  What really put me into blogging is my love for writing.  I basically blog because I want to share my life discoveries and the things that I like to those who have the same interest as mine.  I used to maintain a diary but the dawn of the internet and blog sure made it easier for me to keep an updated journal.  A friend suggested that I sign up for sites that pay bloggers to write about a specific topic or interest, some of the sites she mentioned were Pay Per Post , Social Spark and Blog Advertising Store .  Bloggers have different reasons for blogging , my main intent to having a blog is just to blog but I tried signing up on the sites just to have an idea on how the thing works. The first two sites require a blog to be at least 3 months old for opportunities to come in while Blog Advertising Store only requires the blog to have a certain Alexa ranking before one can reserve an opportunity.   I am getting the...

Coping Up With Workplace Stress

Stress in life is inevitable. There are different types of stress: chronic, eustress, and workplace stress. Chronic stress is a persistent stress which leads to illness or mental disorder. Web Directories

Web directories are often presupposed as search engines, but that is not the case.  A search engine displays lists of web pages according to keywords while a web directory lists websites and links them to other websites by category and sub-category.  For example, you are looking for a part-time job, search engines will list all web entries containing the exact words while web directories will guide you to the sites where you can be hired for a part-time job. There are a lot of web directories like shopping directory that gives you the list of sites where you can purchase goods, online games directory for sites that offers the latest online games, business web directory that lists all websites that sells products or services, and others... the possibilities are endless.  While the most popular  directories are Yahoo! and Google , DMOZ tops Directory 108's list of most visited directories . How would they know their rank?  Web directories are ranked accord...
