Favorite Video of the Day: The Coca-Cola Happiness Truck

Image
This is video is a guerilla marketing of Coca-Cola but it sure made me smile. The truck makes stop-by to various locations around Metro Manila. I just wish Coca-cola's Happiness Truck would drop by our neighborhood. Wouldn't it be nice to see first hand what will come out of that truck? Will they ever give a house and lot? The lechon coming out of the truck is the most hilarious and unexpected!

50 Questions Challenge, Day 35: Are you happy when you think about the upcoming day and all that it comes with?

Image
Photo from here . I always have something to look forward to in the coming day. I don't actually consider the next morning as a curse--I think no one should think of if that way. Tomorrow is a Monday and although I know I will be faced with tons of work, I am still excited to greet the day because it is the day that I will get to have little chats with officemates during break time and it is the day that I will meet again a new client and meet new friends. Every day is a blessing and it's enough reason for us to be enthusiastic.

Favorite Photo of the Day: Mother and Son

Image
That's me and my son. =) This photo was taken by his Dad at Sta. Ana Race Track in Saddle and Clubs Leisure Park in Naic, Cavite. We went there because we wanted Lance to see horses racing. Of course we didn't tell him people go there to bet for a race. I bet he had a really great time because he's still talking about horses even if we're already home.

World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles

Image
I went to the mall to see World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles earlier this day. It is a story about, probably, man's greatest battle with aliens set in Los Angeles. It is not the best movie to watch with your family but if you want something to scare yourself even more after Japan's devastating battle with nature, this is the best movie for you. It is a feel good movie in the end since the marines, led by Aaron Eckhart, found a way to end the alien invasion. I will not spill the beans, though. My rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars.

A Young Girl Who Can Create Fire

Image
I have heard of spontaneous combustion by a human being but this is the first I heard a news about a young girl in Antique, Philippines named Em-em who can create fire out of nothing and by just saying the word "sunog" (fire in English). The NBI (National Bureau of Investigation)checked if the fabric has chemicals to it which might have caused the fabric to burn but they did not find any. If this is really what it seemed it was, then, this girl is the first in the world. She kinda reminds me of Pyro of the X-Men who can create and manipulate fire.

Ne-Yo Mad Lyrical Dance cried me a river

Image
Gee! I wish I can dance like them. Ne-Yo's Mad is one of my all time favorite love songs and it's made even special by adding lyrical dance to it. Just lovely! It makes me wanna fall in love again.

Japan Hit by Tsunami after 8.9 Magnitude Earthquake

Image
At around 2:46pm today, Tokyo, Japan was hit by a 8.9 magnitude earthquake that caused 20 to 33 feet high tsunami waves in Sendai of the Miyagi Prefecture. Fifty people from Tokyo were confirmed dead but officials are expecting higher numbers as they assess the extent of the damage. It was also reported that a ship of over 100 passengers was carried away by the tsunami. Tsunami alert was given to nearby coastal areas of the Philippines, Hawaii and other Pacific islands. More earthquake photos here . In these times, all that we can do is pray and hope for the fast recovery of the affected areas.

Meanwhile, in my other sites...

Photo from Gucci . I admit, I liked Gucci's S/S 2011 Collection the very first time I saw it. I like the bright colors and details of each piece that complements other pieces of the entire collection. Everybody loves Gucci , even Hollywood stars can agree to me that Gucci is one of the most coveted brands of the season. Elizabeth and James needs to be applauded for making gorgeous sandals at reasonable prices. I am not wondering why Marc Jacobs was hired by Louis Vuitton . He just creates the most beautiful things in the world like the braided 'Ossie' bag that I am wanting to have this season.

Philippine Marketing Association

Image
Earlier this day, I was inducted as the Assistant Secretary of Philippine Marketing Association in our local chapter. I did not expect it to be as demanding as I thought it would be but nevertheless, I am getting used to it already with the last three meetings that I attended before the induction. It is my first time to be an officer of an association and I know the position entails a lot of responsibilities. I am lucky to have other officers supporting each other and doing their best to promote the association and its endeavors.  So, what's next? More edu-taining (educational training) on our part, more innovative business marketing strategies and more members in the next few months.

What A Wonderful World by Thia Megia cried me a river

Image
It's not because of hormones, oh no. Thia Megia is just so good, she made me cry while listening to her version of What A Wonderful World... and it is not the whole song yet. Team Thia all the way!

Random Clicks: Fiesta!

Last Sunday, February 28th, our barangay celebrated the Feast of St. Augustine of Hippo. We always celebrate it every last Sunday of February. It is something that I personally look forward to each year because   I get to witness what Filipino hospitality and religious devotion is all about. Young boys carry on their backs the statue of St. Augustine of Hippo and parade it around the whole barangay . Elderlies danced on the streets following St. Augustine wearing the Philippines' traditional baro at saya . We call this tradition karakol . It is a colorful form of thanksgiving dance practiced in all parts of the Philippines for their patron saint. Anyone can participate, even if you do not know how to dance.
