Dream Interpretation: I died in my dream

I had one of the weirdest, but not the scariest, dream ever.  I died in my dream. I could not remember all the details of my dream before I died. All I could remember is that I was travelling in a jeep with some friends. They were hurrying to take me home because I died at 2 o'clock in the afternoon the day before. It is nearing 24 hours that I have been dead. I remember I died while travelling in the same jeep but I could not remember the cause of death. It was a long journey. Despite being dead, I could see what was happening around me. My eyes were wide open but I know that they were already dilated.    I remember passing by a lot of huge trees. As we are nearing home, I came back to life. I scared the hell out of my friends. But, they were all happy that I am back. **************** To dream of your own death symbolizes inner changes, transformation, self-discovery and positive development that is happening within you or your life. You are undergoing a transitio

Random Clicks: Hardin ng Postema Resort

Image
I have been travelling too much lately and I love it! Actually, this travel is not about vacation. I was tasked to look for a place for a team building seminar this July. And this is where my staff and I went. Hardin ng Postema Resort is located at Sahud-Ulan in Tanza, Cavite, about 45 minutes away from Manila if you will travel through Cavitex. It is a pool resort with hotels and banquets where you can celebrate weddings, birthdays, and all other events including seminars. This is the main pool with a cabana in the middle where swimmers can relax and take cover from the sun. It is the largest of the six pools. Taken from inside the Banyo de Oro. It is a two story banquet area for large groups. This is one of the many smaller banquets of the resort. This area can accommodate as much as 80 persons. If kids are already tired of swimming, they can also enjoy the resort's playground just behind the Banyo de Oro. This path leads to the playground o

The Best Quotes from The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

Image
"You are my best friend as well as my lover, and I do not know which side of you I enjoy the most. I treasure each side, just as I have treasured our life together." "You and I were different. We came from different worlds, and yet you were the one who taught me the value of love. You showed me what it was like to care for another, and I am a better man because of it. I don't want you to ever forget that." "She was my dream. She made me who I am, and holding her in my arms was more natural to me than my own heartbeat. I think about her all the time. Even now, when I am sitting here, I think about her. There could have never been another."

Random Clicks: One Afternoon in Tagaytay City

Holy Spirit Church inside Divine Word Seminary. This place brought back a lot of memories. This is where we had a 2-day retreat when I was in high school. Inside the Holy Spirit Church.  Taken inside the compound of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. This is where a good friend had her wedding. Hers was the only wedding our friends were able to attend. It was something special and really worth remembering. Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto at the compound of the church. For lunch: chicken barbecue and lechon kawali at Nanay Dorie's Bulalohan. Yummy! Tagaytay City is one of the most visited tourist spots in Cavite especially during summer. Families and friends  will surely enjoy the various recreational activities in Tagaytay City. Thrill seekers will be pleased to experience the boat ride to the Taal Volcano via the Taal Lake, zip lining, horse back riding, wall climbing and trekking among others. WBO declares Pacquio as winner against Bradley

Image
The boxing world was stunned of the announcement that Timothy Bradley beat the pound for pound boxer Manny Pacquio via split decision on June 9. The uproar of fans compelled the World Boxing Organization (WBO) to conduct an investigation. The Preisdent of  WBO, Paco Valcarel declares Pacquiao as the true winner after the investigation of the 5-man panel with scores 117-111, 117-111, 118-110, 116-112 and 115-113. All scored in favor of Pacquiao. However, despite the WBO result, the organization has no authority to revoke the actual fight result. Bob Arum announced earlier that there will be no rematch unless an investigation will be made. We can expect a rematch on November but there are no official statements yet from both parties. However, Bradley said that if a rematch will push through, he is ready to fight Pacquiao to prove that he really did win the World Welterweight Championship. While Bradley is rejoicing of the win, what Pacquiao fans can do is to console him

People Watching

I am inside the campus, sitting on one of the many metal benches at the admin building, maximizing the battery of my laptop, observing the interactions of the students and professors around me. On my left is a group of five teens being scolded by their professor. On my right, on the other bench, is a group of students probably waiting for their class to start. In front is a huge white board where students can check out their room assignments, how to drop and add subjects, how to validate their IDs and all other school transactions that most of which I did not experience when I was in college. While not many interesting  activity is happening right now, I enjoy people watching when I go to places. It excites me to see various expressions on their faces, their gestures and the tone of their voice. People watching gives me a grasp of the realities of the world.

Dream Interpretation: Flood and Ghost

I had a dream last night about being in an old church in Pampanga. My friend and I went to the bell tower to see the entire town but I was surprised to see flood of waist deep. It was a raging flood that eventually subsided. An elder told us that it happens to their town most of the time and they are already used to it. Inside the church, my friend and I lay down on the floor to inspect in worm's eye view the magnificence of the architecture and art works on the ceiling. However, instead of seeing the arts, we saw other things... two male ghosts talking and laughing at us. The interpretations is somewhat related to my post about haircut ... To dream that you are in a flood represents your need to release some sexual desires. If the flood is raging, then it represents emotional issues and tensions. Your repressed emotions are overwhelming you. Consider where the flood is for clues as to where in your waking life is causing you stress and tension. Alternatively, the drea

Dream Interpretation: Haircut

Photo from here .  I had a restful weekend. In fact, I actually overslept. I woke up at nine o'clock in the morning of Sunday after almost ten hours of sleep. After eating breakfast and preparing the meal for lunch, I slept again for almost two hours. It was during my noon nap that I had a dream. I dreamed of my hair being cut to undesirable length, ergo, really  short. And, here is the interpretation of my dream... To see hair in a dream signifies sexual virility, seduction, sexuality, vanity and health. Dreaming of cutting your hair to a drastic style, on the other hand, denotes making drastic and new approach to some issues of your life.  Cutting your hair shorter in your dream means you have to downsize your lifestyle. New Book: Dracula by Bram Stoker

Image
Believe it or not, I have just finished reading Bram Stoker's Dracula.  I have been spending most of my free time reading novels of modern authors but I am missing out the classics. This is also my first e-book. I finished reading the 333-page classic in four days... in between updating my Facebook account and waiting for my MBA class to start. I should have bought a Kindle! I think it is one of the best inventions ever... thank goodness the application is now available in android phones. Here are some of the lines in the book that I liked: "The world is somewhat full of good men, even if there are monsters in it." - Mina Harker "Do you believe in destiny? That even the powers of time can be altered for a single purpose? That the luckiest man who walks on this earth is the one who finds true love?" - Dracula

My Thoughts: Post Pacquiao vs. Bradley Fight

Image
Photo from here . Exactly a week ago, Manny Pacquiao was robbed of a boxing title... that was the belief of many. Many, too, believes that Timothy Bradley deserved the title. There were some news of a rematch on November... both parties agreed, but, Bob Arum said it won't happen unless a formal investigation will be made to clear the controversial bout. My thoughts... I was able to watch the fight live on television and based on my perception of the entire event, it was a really close fight. I am not an expert in boxing nor a fanatic but in my own opinion, Bradley gave his best. He was not expecting to win after all. On the other hand, Pacquiao also gave his best but if I were to compare his performance that day to his previous fights, it was not his best. He has lost fierce and desire to win the match. He has tamed. Does it have to do with his change of faith? We don't know. But, if it was... his defeat over a "lesser" boxer can be a test of fait

Pacquiao vs. Bradley

Image
The world of boxing fanatics will come to a halt today as they witness one of the most anticipated fights of the year... Pacquiao vs. Bradley. But, it is not really  what I look forward to this day... it is our family get together that happens every time there is a Pacman fight. Who do you think will win? I do hope it will be Pacquiao. Although I am not a boxing fanatic, I am still a Filipino who takes pride in the success of a fellow countryman.

New Book: The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown

Image
This would be my third Dan Brown book. I liked Angels & Demons  and The Da Vinci Code  and I am hoping that I am going to like The Lost Symbol , too. Columbia Pictures confirmed that the movie version of the book will be released this year. Here is the synopsis from eNotes : Having returned from Europe and his adventures in  Angels and Demons  and  The Da Vinci Code ,  Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned to Washington, D.C., by his mentor, Peter Solomon, to speak at a prestigious Smithsonian fundraiser. However, when Langdon arrives, Solomon is nowhere to be found. After calling Solomon's assistant, Langdon learns that his scheduled speech was only a trick to bring him to the Capitol. Moments later, screams are heard and a severed hand—Solomon's—is found in an adjacent room in the Capitol Building. One of the fingers wears a ring that bears the mark of the Freemasons' highest honor. Each of the fingers is tattooed, as is the palm of the ha

The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom

This is the second Albom book that I am going to read, the first one being Tuesdays with Morrie. I know that it will be another tear jerking and inspiring book. "All endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time..."

My Graduate Studies Alma Mater

Image
Some snapshots of my new Alma Mater... Lyceum of the Philippines University Cavite Campus. I love the architecture and the ambiance! It is the perfect harmony of earth, wind and metal... in fact, it is known as the first resort campus in the Philippines (whatever that means). It will be my second home every Saturday in the next 16 months.

Back to School

Photo from here . Somebody said to me, "Be the best woman that you can be." I was so inspired by it that I am going to continue my plan to take graduate studies. In fact, tomorrow will be my first day of school and I am so excited! I am having jitters!
