When life is a bit shaky, say these words...

PSALMS 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, a help always near in times of great trouble. That's why we won't be afraid when the world falls apart, when the mountains crumble into the center of the sea, when its waters roar and rage, when the mountains shake because of its surging waves. Selah.

We have a new Pope!

Image
Photo from www.voxxi.com We have one happy new pope here! Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio is our new pope and he will be called Pope Francis. He is the first Latin American pope and the first from the Jesuit order to be elected on the highest seat in Catholic Church. Here are some facts about Pope Francis... 1. Rather than living in archbishop's palace, he chose to live in an apartment and ride a bus instead of a limousine to go to work. 2. He cooks his own meals. 3. He advocates social justice. He strongly opposes same-sex marriage, abortion and euthanasia. 4. He lives with only one lung. His other lung was removed when he was still young due to infection. 5. He doesn't have a Vatican experience. 6. He was one of the runners-up of Pope Benedict XVI during the 2005 conclave. 7. He was accused of kidnapping two priests in Argentina in the 1970s. No case was filed. 8. He speaks Italian and German aside from his native tongue Spanish.

Find strength in the Lord

PSALMS 94:18 Whenever I feel my foot slipping, your faithful love steadies me, Lord. I was searching last night of a Bible passage about love using a Bible app in my iPad. I guess more than a hundred passages matched with the word love but of all that I was able to read, it is this passage that made an impact on me. I hope this passage will inspire you today and for always.

Does Sabah really belong to the Philippines?

Does Sabah really belong to the Philippines? The Sabah sandoff is a worldwide buzz and while everyone else is giving their commentaries about it without the full knowledge of the facts, let us take time to review our history. In the end, let us all pray that this struggle will end in the most peaceful and diplomatic way possible, anyway, Malays and Filipinos are borne out of the same race.

Corruption

Corruption is worse than prostitution. The latter might endanger the morals of an individual, the former variably endangers the morals of the entire country. - Karl Kraus Our country is corrupt. Which country is not? Corruption is everywhere. It is a plague. It has a cure.  If a country is to be corruption free and become a nation of beautiful minds, I strongly feel there are three key societal members who can make a difference. They are the father, the mother and the teacher. - Abdul Kalam  There are laws, moral and legal, and only a few favors righteousness over corruption. The duty of the youth is to challenge corruption. - Kurt Cobain We can still do something. We must be the change we want to happen in the world.
