What's up with me?

It has been a while since my last post. I was really busy the past weeks that updating my blogs (yep, I have tons) everyday was not possible. So, what's up with me last week? My new career in marketing is taking a lot, and I mean a lot, of my energies lately. If being in the IT department was stressful, make it double this time. I had to meet deadlines each time and had to make sure that people know what we are up to. It is like a whole new world for me. Despite the stress, I like where it is taking me. It is making me more sociable and I get to meet new friends. Last week totally tested my stress meter. It was hard but I am glad I survived it. I am now actually looking forward to another stressful work next month. Another good side of it all is that, behold, I have moved on. Completely moved on. I am ready to go back in the dating scene. I kinda missed it.

Cirque du Soleil in Manila

Image
Cirque du Soliel presentation officially begins now and they will be performing until July 10, 2011. It is not your typical circus act because Circque du Soleil tells a story... Deep within a forest, at the summit of a volcano, exists an extraordinary world—a world where something else is possible. A world called Varekai. From the sky falls a solitary young man, and the story of Varekaibegins. Parachuted into the shadows of a magical forest, a kaleidoscopic world populated by fantastical creatures, this young man sets off on an adventure both absurd and extraordinary. On this day at the edge of time, in this place of all possibilities, begins an inspired incantation to life rediscovered. The word Varekai means "wherever" in the Romany language of the gypsies the universal wanderers. This production pays tribute to the nomadic soul, to the spirit and art of the circus tradition, and to the infinite passion of those whose quest takes them along the path that leads t

Miley Cyrus Live in Manila

Image
Miley Cyrus's concert last night in Manila was a success! Filipinos and tourists alike went gaga over the spectacular performance of the international teen star. Photo from here . To add on the fun, Miley guested fellow teen stars--Sam Concepcion and the late Master Rapper, Francis Magalona's son, Elmo, to perform. The Gypsy Heart World Tour  was held at the concert grounds of SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. It's the third time that a big international teen sensation held concert here--Taylor Swift and Justin Beiber being the first two. Congratulations to the producers and organizers.

Geraldine 'Fame' Flores of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 1 Semi-Finals

This gave me goosebumps. Raw talent. It's like watching a musical/opera on television. I love her! If she will be given a chance, she could be the next Lea Salonga.

This Gave More Meaning To My Life

"Thanks for the dinner last night. I am very happy for you, your being a responsible mom and career woman. I love you and Lance." That's a text message from my mom at the airport before her flight going back to the US. Dinner was on me last night. It was my means of thanking my mom for every thing that she did for us and to celebrate my niece's 9th birthday. We had a feast. After the sumptuous dinner of Chinese cuisine, my mom said she's proud of me. I think it was the first time I heard her say those words to me. I did not even hear it when I graduated from college. Although those words put a huge smile on my face, it was her text message that really made my day and gave more meaning to my life.

Striking Resemblance

Fairy tales do come true... well, sometimes, like in the case of the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge that has a striking resemblance to the characters of our favorite Disney fairy tale--Cinderella.
