I am one of the billion watchers from all over the world who eagerly watched the exchange of vows of the most famous couple of the century--Prince William and Kate Middleton. I actually was teary eyed while I watch Kate walk down the aisle and when she and Prince William walked on the aisle for the first time as husband and wife. It was a really touching experience although I only saw it on television.  Perhaps the most awaited reveal of the wedding is the designer of Kate's dress. Well, lo and behold, it was Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen! The dress is reminiscent of Grace Kelly's wedding dress --classy and not as grand as everybody expected it to be--but, nevertheless, seeing her in a McQueen dress is an unforgettable moment in fashion and it will surely be on the list of the most iconic dresses of all time. Menudo is one of my grandmother's specialties. My fondest memory involving menudo is when I was still in grade school. We live just a few blocks away from school and during lunch break, I would go home to eat lunch since I am saving my day's allowance. One time, she cooked menudo and it wasn't what I would like to have for lunch. She didn't want to prepare other meal because it was already late so she insisted that I eat what was served. Being a stubborn young girl that I was, I spooned the menudo's sauce and slathered it over my plate for it to look like I ate lunch. I wasn't caught and it still remains a secret until now that I am sharing you the story. It was a bad move on my part because I starved and ended up spending my day's allowance. Photo from here . Hmnnn... Seeing old friends and discovering new places thrill me. I have many friends who now live in other countries and meeting them in some place always gives me the jitters. I have three best friends in college that I only get to see whenever one comes home from Australia. I actually find it odd to meet them only once when the two are just two towns away from mine. Distance makes the heart grown fonder... and that is true in our case. Photo from here . I remember many summers ago, I went to Puerto Galera for a vacation together with some friends. It was my first time to go to the place and the first time that I will be away from home for a week. I swear, I wasn't able to sleep the whole night preparing for my things and thinking about all the things I could do in Puerto Galera.  It was a thrilling experience and it was the best summer vacation ever. So, now I am thinking of going to the place again.

I have been craving for Country Side's  special sizzling gravy since last night. Just thinking about it makes me salivate. To finally end my craving, I had a lunch date with my son. I ordered sizzling crispy chicken, that is good enough for two, cold iced tea and extra fried rice. While waiting for our order, he, as usual, played with his Bob the Builder toys. For just a little over one hundred pesos, we're so full. I am so recommending the restaurant.

I went to a certain office last week for a business proposal and I saw a familiar face inside my prospect's office. Apparently, he's an old friend, well, (clearing throat) a childhood sweetheart. He asked me if I could still remember him and I said yes and gave him a smile. This part is where all my blood flushed on my cheeks, and I wasn't prepared. He introduced me to everyone inside the room that we used to be in a relationship and that we were both so in love with each other. After my brief, but seemed like forever, discussion with my prospect, the guy offered me to accompany me downstairs towards the parking lot. I refused but he insisted. While going down, he asked me several questions that I briefly answered. "Do you live in the same place?" "Yes." "Are you married?" "No." "I went to your house years ago but your brother told me you were not there. Did he tell you?" "I don't have a brother." &quo

This is tonight's dessert--triple chocolate cake from Red Ribbon. I bought two slices this afternoon--one for me and one for my son, just because we are craving for something sweet. Wee! One day, I am gonna bake a chocolate cake.

I like dogs and birds and fishes but surprisingly, I do not own any. I used to have a puppy which I named Jimmy because he is so tiny and cute like Jimminy Cricket of Pinocchio but after just a week of taking care of him, he mysteriously disappeared. After days of looking for him, I discovered that he was hit and run by a neighbor and they did not even tell me about it. I felt sad and angry, really. And now hearing the news about 100 dogs being slaughtered in Canada is something that gives me the creeps. I pity those poor dogs. What is even more surprising is that the one who allegedly slaughtered them is the one who used to take care of them. 

My favorite Manga character is Doraemon. I just love how he pulls out nifty gadgets from his fourth dimensional pocket, his bamboo-copter, the anywhere door, clothes changing camera and his words of wisdom for Nobita. My son has learned to love Doraemon, too. He's just too adorable for words, don't you think? I would just like to share with you the unofficial ending of the Doreamon series. There are actually three unofficial endings but this one is the best, the most touching and heartwarming of them all. This made me teary eyed a bit.  It made me wish to have someone from the future to guide me today.

Today, I thank God just because... He has given me another chance to wake up and see how soundly my son sleeps beside me, He has given me another chance to go to the office and back home safely, He has given me a chance to conduct free circumcision to young indigent boys around town, He has given me another chance to chat with officemates over lunch, He has given me a chance to listen to my favorite music (something that I missed doing in a long while), He always give me reasons to face the day with courage, enthusiasm and optimism. Thank you!

I am so going to watch this movie! I missed part 1 and I swear I will never miss part 2. I could not wait for the movie to be shown in the Philippines. Photo from here . I find this 50 Questions Challenge challenging. Seriously. Everyday is a challenge for me. I raise a child solo, budget my finances, pay the bills, fix things in the house... everything. I basically do everything all by myself and ending the day right is challenge enough for me. If ever I fail to end the day happily, I don't consider it as failure, just temporary setbacks or a time to reflect if where I am going and what I am doing is what I really wanted in life.

This is shocking! Pia Toscano was eliminated from American Idol Season 10 which makes Stefano Langone a week safe again after being at the bottom three for weeks now. Everyone was left in shock! Stefano is one hell of a lucky guy.

I had a dream last night about a building collapsing with me and some other co-workers inside it. We're cleaning up some rooms at the first floor while construction men, well, do their job in other parts of the building particularly the third floor. After hours of cleaning, my co-workers and I decided to call it a day and get our things at the third floor. When we got there, the building started to tilt and in just a few seconds, everything collapsed. None in the group got hurt as the floor we're standing on wasn't damaged, in fact, it slid down a slope while we still hold on to dear life. At the end of a downhill ride, we found ourselves on a lake.
