Vancouver Kayaks

My mom is pushing me to pursue my migration application to Canada while waiting for my US application to be approved. It's quite confusing actually. I have already filled out the application form and is currently waiting for some supporting documents to go with it. I have little knowledge about Canada, honestly. All I know is that it is freezing cold there--which is not good for me,but, whatever--and that they have beautiful mountain ranges and rivers to go kayaking. The latter makes me ecstatic to go there. I have many relatives in Canada and  I have heard from them that Vancouver kayaks are the best. I can imagine as early as now the amazing landscape, lush greens and wild rapids that will greet me when I go there.

Paris Hilton in Manila

Image
Photo from phillyburbs.com. Yep! The hotel heiress and socialite, Paris Hilton, arrived on Sunday at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) for a 5-day business trip to promote a resort hotel and to open her fashion boutique. Despite losing two cellphones, she happily tweeted: "Mabuhay Philippines! I just arrived, thousands of fans waiting at the airport when I walked in. I feel so welcomed here! Mahal ko kayo! :)" She's wearing a mustard tunic with embroidered neckline and comfortable jeans. She added chunky gold rings, bangles and simple earrings to complete the look. Oh, and let us not forget about her bug-eye sunglasses for the not-so-incognito look. So chic!

First Love Never Dies

I am such an idiot. It was a pleasure talking to this man from my past. It was a bittersweet conversation that had me wiping my tears. I was able to tell him something that I have been keeping as a secret in a long time. I just had to tell it to him because another day of hiding it and talking to him as if everything is okay is like killing myself. Or so I thought it was. I told him now and here I am, lifeless. Not literally, or else I wouldn't be here narrating my stupidity. I feel like floating on a sea of uncertainty. I am trying to keep my head up, pretend that I am okay and yet I am drowning inside. Could it be? Yes, it is. I am still in love. I didn't tell him that I love him... I am not that  stupid. It's the admission that I did something wrong in the past that confirmed the feeling and I hate it.  I hate the fact that 'first love never dies'. I hate the fact that after all these years, I still love him!

My Nail-A-Holics Nail Salon and Spa experience

Image
After my much needed whole body massage yesterday, I went to Nail-A-Holics Nail Salon and Spa to give my feet a little pampering they deserve.  I was impressed at how the salon looked. It was my first time to go to the place but the moment I walked inside, I immediately felt at-home. The ambiance is perfect for a brief relaxation experience. The walls were painted with turquoise accented by white, green and brown... pretty much like your are staying inside a house overlooking the beach. There is also a mural of the beach to complete the feel. The very friendly and courteous lady who cleaned my feet. I actually didn't feel ticklish. I chose to have Water Drift Spa Pedicure. As soon as I was seated on their couch, a lady handed me three pillows for me to comfortably sit as if the couch wasn't comfortable enough. And then I was offered fashion magazines--which I enjoyed reading--to keep me busy while waiting for the whole process to end. A basket full of

Random Clicks: Passion at Resort World Manila

Image
After a courtesy visit of my fellow Philippine Marketing Association officers in our headquarters in Ortigas, we went to Resort World Manila to have dinner at Passion restaurant where an officer's husband is working. The lovely lanterns that give a warm and homey feel inside the restaurant.  Just two of the many horse paintings on the wall of Passion. The basic table setting. No too many silver wares that tends to confuse many. We are table number 23. It wasn't my first time to eat in a Chinese restaurant but dining at Passion made me understand even more the Chinese way of eating their food and serving their meals. It was a lovely fine dining experience. I could dine there every week if I can. Of all the meals served, this is my favorite--Deep fried crispy lapu-lapu with pomelo vinaigrette sauce. The perfect bitter-sweet taste! Yummy! My Chinese dining experience will never be complete without drinking tea. Passion is located at the
