Goodbye, Oprah!

Image
Oprah announced in 2009 that her show will soon come to an end. She made it public and her fans, including me, were left astounded. Why would she end something so great? God has plans, and surely, Oprah has, too. The well thought of plan was soon understood and accepted... it is time to move on. Yesterday, The Oprah Show officially signed off in front of hundreds of live audiences and millions of viewers at home.  Goodbye, Oprah! We will miss the happy headaches.

Scotty Wins!

Image
The 17 year old North Carolina native beat Lauren Alaina in this season of American Idol. I wasn't surprised when Ryan Seacrest announced Scotty's name because I already knew when he auditioned that he will make it to the top. When Ryan asked Scotty how he felt, he said, "Man, it's been a year since me and Lauren tried out. We've been together since day one, and we're going to stay together." What surprised me was when Scotty kissed Lauren after Ryan announced he won and when I heard Scotty say "I love you baby" to Lauren when he was singing the final song. Are they a couple?  Watch again the video. That is definitely not a kiss on the forehead. This is what I get for not watching AI every week. Here is my favorite Scotty song... a duet with Lauren. They actually look and sound good together.

Favorite Video of the Day: Piano Playing Penises

This is the most hilarious video of a talent search I have seen and it is from Greece's Got Talent. I have not seen musically gifted crotches in my entire life, until today. LOL!

We will see you again, Friend.

About two years ago, I interviewed this guy for a position in the IT department where I am the head. He seemed like a nice guy with a good background in IT so I hired him. He didn't stayed for more than a year because he decided to live with his fiancee in another town. At first I did not want to sign his resignation paper because I could see his potential in the field.  Despite being no longer an employee, he did not forget to keep in touch. He even kid one time to apply again for the position. The last news I heard about him was his motorcycle accident which caused him fractured arm and leg. I never thought that today would be the last news I will hear about him from his closest friends. This morning, he breathed his last breath of pain and sorrow.  We will never say goodbye because we know that we will see you again, in God's time.

Fast Five

Image
I can never have enough of really nice cars, furious Vin Diesel (Dom Toretto) driving and Paul Walker's (Brian O'Conner) gorgeous looks. Geez! I can only imagine myself being inside the car with Paul a la Jordana Brewster (Mia Toretto). I was able to watch Fast Five today. It was unplanned but I am not at all disappointed. It was a nerve racking movie from the beginning until the end. I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars.

Upside Down House

Image
Photo from here . Far out! I have seen many upside down houses but this is the first time that I saw a car included in the theme. I hope the furnitures inside aren't upside down, too!

Le Festin by Camille (Ratatouille Soundtrack)

Image
My son finds Remy cute. I find him odd because in real world, rats can't (don't and shouldn't) cook. Anyway, we both enjoy watching Ratatouille over and over again. It makes me want to go to Paris even more. I sing a long each time Le Festin plays in the background even though I could not understand a word in it or if I am pronouncing the words right, I just find the song the perfect Parisian experience if you are not in Paris.

Pacquiao beat Mosley

Image
From Reuters. Congrats Pacman!  It was your most boring fight ever but still you made Filipinos proud. Mommy Dionisia can have her Hermes bag .

Stay The Night by James Blunt

Just loving the vibe of this song. Happy listening.

Happy Mother's Day!

Image
Photo from here . I think I know now how my mom did it because I am now also a mother. We don't have super powers to begin with, we only have our kids, who, ironically are also our little kryptonites, our weaknesses that make us go bonkers at times. So, kids, bear with us. To all moms out there, you are doing a great job!

Pacquiao vs. Mosley

Image
If your mom is a Pacquiao fan, better give her pay-per-view ticket for tomorrow's fight versus Mosley as your Mother's Day Gift. Otherwise, treat her to a posh dinner for two... I know you don't want to miss the fight. Just don't forget to greet your mom and thank her because if it weren't for her, you definitely will not witness the most anticipated boxing event of the year.

Some Travel and Vacation Trivias

Image
Visiting Paris is one of the many things that I would like to accomplish in my life. I just want to experience how it feels like to be a tourist in a different land, eat foie gras and drink champagne in some hotel overlooking the Eiffel Tower. And while going there is still too far in my to-do's, here are some info about travels and vacations. Click on the image to enlarge. World of Warcraft

Image
My cousins and friends are very much into playing World of Warcraft. And I can bet my month's salary that they don't know these things about the popular MMORPG. Click on the image to enlarge. Some people are just sore losers

Image
Photo from here . According to Urban Dictionary , "a  sore loser is someone who loses in a fair competition but whines about it on a constant basis, blaming everyone around them for their loss except themselves. Fun to taunt, but no fun to play with." So true! I just bumped into a couple of sore losers today and I am actually having fun hearing their rants and whines. I could see a big L sticking out of their foreheads. Justice still prevails! Haha!

Why did they bury Osama's body at sea?

Floods & Frogs

Image
Photo from here . I had a relatively scary dream last night. It was all about floods and frogs. It rained hard that day, I was inside the bedroom with my son and his dad discussing about things. I thought of going out to take a look at what's happening outside but when I made my first step out of the room, my foot got wet. I looked down and the entire house is flooded. I hurriedly called for help and started sweeping off floodwater out of the house. It stopped raining eventually and the floor started to become dry. We stayed at the garage for a while. I saw my sister still drying her porch so I went to help. I moved a chair and noticed, not one, but two, frogs (toads) staring blankly at me. I took a step back and then I heard my son's dad asking me what's wrong. I said I saw frogs and I am a bit scared. I did not continue helping my sister and hurriedly went inside her house. Inside, somebody I knew threw frogs at me. I cried and cried some more, begging for him to
