Moms Work In the Comforts of Home
Although this entry generally points out that being a domesticated bummer has a potential of earning while at home, jobless males and non-mothers or housewives will also benefit by reading further.
I am a mother and a career woman who takes care of the bills and how to pay those without having to seek help from anyone. My being involved in online freelance jobs started six months ago when I was thinking of giving up my 8 to 5 job. I know that the economic recession has made job hunting a harder task to do so I have to think of something that will help me earn money while waiting to get hired full-time. I am not a techie but I love browsing the web for interesting topics and latest news. My planning to resign and my being an internet junkie led me to the discovery of online freelancing.
In this time of economic downfall, moms can also help generate income by being at home. I know that most households are struggling to make ends meet but we should not depend on 8 to 5 jobs that may be gone now that most companies are laying off manpower.
I discovered Elance where talents are being hired online and working in their desired and suitable hours at the comforts of their own homes. Brilliant thing!

Being discovered at Elance is easy, all you have to do is register on the site and pass some skills test and then bid for the job openings from all over the world. Programmers, writers, transcribers, administrative assistants and every knowledge and skills in between will have the opportunity of earning moolah in no time. Just like in any normal job, professionalism is the key to maintaining a good relationship with your clients because at the end of your contract with them, they will give you a positive feedback--that is what clients look after in hiring a freelancer aside from the skills.
Try it. Learn new skills and earn at the same time while taking care of all domestic works. No, I am not being paid by Elance to promote their site, I am simply a member who has earned the trust of five clients from different parts of the world and wanted to share this opportunity of earning extra while you are at home.
I have to agree.. I'm a housewife and a mother to a baby boy.. I work online as a VA.. being home-based need not stop you from earning.
ReplyDeleteHi, this is Nicole from vWorker (formerly known as Rentacoder). Like Elance, vWorker provides access to a wide variety of jobs. Success at these types of sites strongly depends on what these services offer, and the services available at Elance (or unavailable -- depending on how you want to look at it) could limit that success. Consider the following:
ReplyDelete1. Workers on Elance cannot place more than 3 bids a month unless they pay a subscription fee ($9.95/month for 20, $19.94/month for 40 or $39.95/month for 60).
2. On Elance a Employer can challenge you with an arbitration at any time. If they do, you must either choose to pay the non-refundable arbitration fee ($66-$133) or forfeit your money-back guarantee.
In addition, an Employer intent on abusing the system can stall the start of arbitration on Elance for 21 business days and during this period your money is not available to you.
3. Elance does not guarantee any hours until you've worked at least 80 hours. During this time you may find yourself working for free. Elance only guarantees to pay you for the first 40 hours you work in a week. If you are working longer hours to help a client, you may find yourself working for free.
