The landscaped view from the country club. The only road that leads to the exit/entrance of Tagaytay Highlands. |
As part of our Marketing Management course for MBA, we had a tour in one of the most exclusive leisure parks and residential estate in the Philippines--Tagaytay Highlands.
Tagaytay Highlands is located at Tagaytay City, Cavite--a three hour drive from Manila. Tagaytay City is known to be one of the premiere tourist destinations in the Philippines. The area is famous for its colder climate because it is elevated at 2,100 feet above sea level. Tagaytay Highlands is nestled in the area's highest elevation.
It is an exclusive leisure park and village that began its operation 18 years ago. Today, there are more than 7,000 members from the A-list group and all shares are now sold out. A member can experience world class facilities and services--from golf courses, recreational facilities, spa, restaurants and banquet areas.
Tagaytay Highlands has four major areas--The Golf and Country Club, The Highlands, The Midlands, and The Greenlands. The latter three are the residential communities. You can find log cabin residences in Highlands. The Midlands offers country themed residences and parks like the Japanese zen garden, Mexican pueblos and English gardens. The Greenlands offer Western-inspired residences that will remind you of plantation houses of Southern US.

The lion who will greet you at the reception area. It tells where the Bali Antique Curiosity Shop is located. |

Just one of the many treatments of the country club for a more Indonesian feel. |

Diners and guests will be serenaded by their in-house pianist. He can actually play whatever song you like--whether a piece from a famous Broadway musical to original Filipino compositions. |
|
Upstairs the country club are different themed restaurants and banquets where members can hold events such as weddings, birthdays, baptisms, etc. The hallway is decorated with furniture pieces that will make you feel you are just at home. |
|
This is just one of the murals along the hallway, just in front of the Mexican themed restaurant. The mural is a photo of one of the churches of Tagaytay Highlands located at The Midlands. |

Just outside the country club, you will be enchanted by the beautiful lush trees . |

The railway system of Tagaytay Highlands that will take you faster to the Midlands residences. The Midlands is geographically located at Talisay, Batangas and has a total land area of 8 hectares. The building with a red roof is the church. |
|
The view from inside the tram. It was an exciting ride. We preferred to ride the tram than to ride a car. The tram is a quicker way to get to Midlands. |

Inside the church. It was said that many Filipino celebrities exchanged vows in this church. |

Another ethnic treatment on the hallway of the Midlands' banquet area. |

The Midlands also has a golf course. And they put the names of their golf players who had a hole-in-one. |
