50 Questions Challenge, Day 5: What kind of weather do you like?

It is raining today, in fact there is a typhoon and our province is Signal 1 as per the weather bureau.  It's been raining since last night, I actually did not sleep well because of fear that floodwater might enter our house again.  Thank goodness it did not. 

We only have two seasons in the Philippines--rainy season and summer.  I could not decide which is my favorite because both have pros and cons for me.  I like summer because it is during this season that I can do most errands in a breeze and I can go out with my son anywhere.  I don't like summer temperature.  It gets really hot here, up to 37 to 38 degrees centigrade.  I like the rainy season  because I can snuggle in my room and feel the cold sheet on my cheeks, I can cook more often my son's favorite chicken soup and I can wear my favorite jacket all the time.  When I am out, I don't like it when it is raining because I hate bringing an umbrella.

So, you see, if there's a season in between, that would probably be my favorite.

Prince William and Kate Middleton: A Fairytale Wedding

I am one of the billion watchers from all over the world who eagerly watched the exchange of vows of the most famous couple of the century--Prince William and Kate Middleton. I actually was teary eyed while I watch Kate walk down the aisle and when she and Prince William walked on the aisle for the first time as husband and wife. It was a really touching experience although I only saw it on television.  Perhaps the most awaited reveal of the wedding is the designer of Kate's dress. Well, lo and behold, it was Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen! The dress is reminiscent of Grace Kelly's wedding dress --classy and not as grand as everybody expected it to be--but, nevertheless, seeing her in a McQueen dress is an unforgettable moment in fashion and it will surely be on the list of the most iconic dresses of all time. Hostage Drama Is Not Yet Over

I feel sad about what happened at the Quirino Grandstand a few days ago.  I purposely did not blog about it while it was happening to at least show respect for the people who are in a very difficult situation.  After many hours of negotiation that ended in a bloodbath, I just feel sorrier for the victims and my fellow Filipinos who had nothing to do with what happened that day.  I have read so many articles about countries hating the Philippines because of the tragic event.  Just now in the news, one of our Senators had a taste of their anger when an airport official in Hong Kong allegedly threw his passport.   I feel bad about the deranged former policeman, too.  He was dismissed from service because of grave misconduct and administrative charges filed against him and three other policemen when they allegedly planted a drug evidence to a chef who works in a hotel in Manila.  Justice is still not served at the time of this writing.  He was an accomplished police officer as proven by t
