50 Questions Challenge, Day 14: How close are you in proximity to the people you absolutely adore the most?

I am so close to the people I adore.  Literally close because they are my neighbors.  My son and I live in the compound of my grandparents.   My house used to be my grandparents' house, we built a duplex because the old house was destroyed by a typhoon.  The house was left in our care because grandma left for the US together with my aunts and uncles twenty years ago.  My sister and her two daughters live on the other door.   On the left and right side of the house are also my grandparents' (my grandfather's brother and his uncle).  Across the road is my great great grandparents' house, the house where I grew up.  I was like their adopted daughter when mom went to another country to work.  This is the main reason why I am so comfortable living in our town... I have my support system 360 degrees.  My closest friends also live 30 minutes away from our house.  I could not imagine growing up anywhere else than where I live now.

Prince William and Kate Middleton: A Fairytale Wedding

I am one of the billion watchers from all over the world who eagerly watched the exchange of vows of the most famous couple of the century--Prince William and Kate Middleton. I actually was teary eyed while I watch Kate walk down the aisle and when she and Prince William walked on the aisle for the first time as husband and wife. It was a really touching experience although I only saw it on television.  Perhaps the most awaited reveal of the wedding is the designer of Kate's dress. Well, lo and behold, it was Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen! The dress is reminiscent of Grace Kelly's wedding dress --classy and not as grand as everybody expected it to be--but, nevertheless, seeing her in a McQueen dress is an unforgettable moment in fashion and it will surely be on the list of the most iconic dresses of all time. Hostage Drama Is Not Yet Over

I feel sad about what happened at the Quirino Grandstand a few days ago.  I purposely did not blog about it while it was happening to at least show respect for the people who are in a very difficult situation.  After many hours of negotiation that ended in a bloodbath, I just feel sorrier for the victims and my fellow Filipinos who had nothing to do with what happened that day.  I have read so many articles about countries hating the Philippines because of the tragic event.  Just now in the news, one of our Senators had a taste of their anger when an airport official in Hong Kong allegedly threw his passport.   I feel bad about the deranged former policeman, too.  He was dismissed from service because of grave misconduct and administrative charges filed against him and three other policemen when they allegedly planted a drug evidence to a chef who works in a hotel in Manila.  Justice is still not served at the time of this writing.  He was an accomplished police officer as proven by t
